The Dining Room is the signature restaurant of Park Hyatt Sydney, offering natural light and magical views of Sydney Harbour, Circular Quay, and the iconic Sydney Opera House.

We are seeking a young-minded, energetic, and edgy professional to join our team as an Assistant Sommelier in this luxurious harbour side residence.

About the Role
  • This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in fine dining wine service.
  • You will be responsible for assisting the Sommelier in managing the wine cellar, creating wine lists, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Sommelier in wine inventory management, ordering, and storage.
  • Contribute to the creation of wine lists, including selection, pricing, and pairing suggestions.
  • Provide expert advice on wine pairings to enhance the dining experience.
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge and stay up-to-date with industry trends.

Requirements:

  • A passion for fine dining and wine.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Degree or diploma in Hospitality, Wine Studies, or related field (an advantage).
