As a highly skilled and enthusiastic Wine Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the Hotel Sommelier in creating an exceptional wine list that complements our culinary offerings.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for wine, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Assist the Hotel Sommelier in curating a wine list that showcases a diverse selection of domestic and imported wines.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure wine pairings are expertly matched to menu items.
- Provide exceptional customer service, offering personalized wine recommendations and ensuring a memorable dining experience.
- Maintain a clean and organized cellar, adhering to strict storage and handling procedures.
- Necessary Skills and Qualifications:
- Current NSW RSA Certificate.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong food and beverage knowledge, with a focus on wine.
- A minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a fine dining restaurant or similar environment.
