Your Role as HR Business Partner

As a vital member of our People and Performance team, you will collaborate closely with a diverse leadership group across various operational areas, including processing, farming, distribution, and corporate functions. This hybrid role allows for a blend of on-site and remote work, providing flexibility while ensuring you remain connected with your team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with stakeholders across multiple locations to offer guidance on employee-related issues, including performance management, conduct, policy adherence, and diversity initiatives.
  • Lead negotiations for local enterprise agreements and cultivate strong relationships with union representatives.
  • Assist leaders in navigating employment relations challenges, including conducting thorough workplace investigations.
  • Coach and mentor leaders to foster a positive organizational culture.
  • Support governance efforts and contribute to the standardization of HR processes.
  • Identify and address talent development needs, collaborating with the broader team to implement strategic HR initiatives.
  • Partner with the Learning and Development team to enhance the capabilities of frontline leaders.
  • Facilitate the local execution of HR processes, including performance evaluations and succession planning.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the People and Performance team by promoting open communication and soliciting feedback.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders in recruitment efforts to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new hires.
  • Align business priorities with HR initiatives to support organizational goals.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in HR business partnering within a large, complex operational framework, supporting a diverse workforce.
  • Strong understanding of workplace relations legislation and frameworks.
  • Experience in a unionized environment, with a track record of negotiating enterprise agreements and fostering productive union relationships.
  • Ability to build and maintain trust-based relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • High proficiency in advising on all aspects of the employee lifecycle.
  • Capability to develop and implement new HR processes and policies in a complex setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, with strong interpersonal and relationship management abilities.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to engage positively with remote stakeholders.
  • Preferred tertiary qualifications in HR or a related business field.
