Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Senior Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team at Campbelltown City Council.

About the Role

As a key member of our Procurement and Contracts Unit, you will play a critical role in assisting and overseeing the preparation of quotations, tenders, and expression of interest through to the formal execution of contracts and procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies that meet customer needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide expertise in procurement processes, including tendering, contract management, and supplier engagement.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the procurement lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with public sector procurement regulations and guidelines.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification and/or job-related experience in procurement/tenders.
  • Demonstrated understanding of procurement processes within the public sector environment.
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing excellent customer service and high-level organisational and administrative skills.
