Associate Economist Position

We seek an Associate Economist to contribute to our economic strategy and productivity group. As a team member, you will provide high-quality advice and analysis on federal financial relations, horizontal fiscal equalization (HFE), and Goods and Services Tax (GST).

  • Advice and research on policy, financial, and economic impacts of vertical fiscal imbalance (VFI) and HFE.
  • Analysis of priorities for reform.
  • Support engagement with Treasury, agency, and other jurisdictional stakeholders.

This role requires a strong educational background in economics, econometrics, statistics, public policy, law, research, evaluation, or related fields. Experience in providing policy advice, research, or economic analysis is highly favorable.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:
