We are seeking an experienced Senior Economic Analyst to join our Economics team.

The role allows you to apply microeconomics and econometrics to real-world energy policy, promoting the long-term interests of energy consumers and supporting a transition to a net zero energy sector.

You will work in a collaborative environment with flexible work arrangements and contribute to thought leadership on current developments and emerging trends in the energy sector.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Providing economic advice and recommendations;
  • Applying analytical frameworks, building models, and conducting econometric analysis;
  • Facilitating knowledge transfer and promoting understanding of economic concepts;
  • Communicating complex issues or concepts to stakeholders;
  • Developing and implementing strategic plans to achieve business objectives.

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Tertiary qualifications in economics, commerce and/or other relevant disciplines;
  • A background in microeconomics and/or econometrics;
  • Minimum 2-5 years relevant work experience in a policy, research and/or regulatory role;
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to work autonomously and build effective partnerships;
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to understand complex subject matters.
