Gold Coast Law Firm Operations Director

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned practice manager to take ownership of operations in a respected law firm, enjoying the lifestyle that only the Gold Coast can offer.
- Overseeing all aspects of financial management including trust accounting, reconciliations, budgets, payroll, BAS, IAS, PAYG, and statutory reporting.
- Managing accounts payable/receivable and preparing meaningful financial reports, partner allocations, and end-of-year accounts.
- Leading HR functions: preparing job descriptions, interviewing, onboarding, offboarding staff, managing performance reviews, training, and compliance with relevant legal services awards.
- Developing and maintaining workplace policies, WHS standards, and staff induction programs to ensure a professional and compliant environment.
- Driving operational systems covering fee recovery, debt management, procurement, supplier engagement, and long-term planning for firm growth.
- Supporting business development, marketing, and client engagement including social media presence and events.
- Coordinating IT services, managing insurance portfolios, overseeing equipment procurement, and maintaining supplier contracts.
- Attending weekly management meetings with Partners and delivering strategic insights to help shape firm objectives.
