We're seeking a driven individual to join our team as a Cafe or Restaurant Supervisor. With multiple positions available across Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane, this role offers exciting opportunities for career growth.

Becoming our next Cafe or Restaurant Supervisor means:

  • Providing personalized, knowledgeable, and friendly service to internal and external guests at all times.
  • Ensuring seamless food and beverage service within allocated sections by anticipating guest needs and streamlining tasks.
  • Assigning and rotating Team Member duties to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  • Conducting pre-service and post-service briefings to maintain high standards.
  • SUPPORTING THE HEAD OF DEPARTMENT IN ENSURING A THOROUGH INDUCTION PROCESS FOR TEAM MEMBERS, ONGOING TRAINING, AND ATTENDING FORMAL TRAINING SESSIONS.
  • Assisting the Head of Department in preparing training plans for Team Members and conducting on-the-job training sessions.
  • Supporting Performance Development Appraisals for Team Members when required.
  • Maintaining par levels, ordering stock as needed, and monitoring rosters according to legislation and business demands.
  • Familiarizing yourself with licensing and operating legislation affecting the department, including the Liquor Act.
  • Completing operational reports daily, providing a record of department history for future forecasting.
  • Ensuring consistent food quality and providing feedback to the Chef on sales, wastage, menu changes, and special requests.
  • Maintaining open communication channels between departments, particularly the kitchen, for smooth operation.
  • Ensuring the department is ready for service at scheduled operating times.
  • Performing daily takings reconciliation.
  • Educating Team Members on product knowledge, ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation of all menu items and buffet options.
  • Enhancing Team Members' product knowledge of wine styles featured on the outlet's wine list.
  • Adhering to opening and closing procedures to meet acceptable standards.
  • Reporting any maintenance work required in the vicinity of the outlet to the Head of Department.
  • Providing accurate information to guests about Property facilities and features and addressing their inquiries and complaints promptly.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification.
  • In-depth understanding of restaurant day-to-day operations.
  • A passion for sequence of service and commitment to creating unforgettable customer experiences.
  • Strong teamwork and leadership skills.

This position comes with an estimated annual salary of $54,992.08 - $60,000, based on working days and penalties applicable under the Hospitality Industry General Award.
