Overview

Vicinity Centres is a leading Australian retail property group, dedicated to creating exceptional shopping experiences for our customers. We are seeking an experienced and skilled Key Operations Development Manager to join our team.

Job Summary

This role will be responsible for supporting the Operations Manager - Infrastructure & Integration in ensuring that all development projects meet Vicinity's high standards of quality, safety, and compliance. The successful candidate will have a strong background in operations management, with experience in managing large-scale projects and teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Operations Manager - Infrastructure & Integration in reviewing and approving development documentation;
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure that project interfaces with active centre operations are executed to the highest possible standard every day for retailers, customers, and staff;
  • Liaise with external contractors and consultants to ensure compliance with legislative obligations and Australian Standards;
  • Provide support for the 'Operations Manager - Infrastructure & Integration' on the defects and project close-out process post-project completion;
  • Maintain positive relationships with internal and external key stakeholders that impact performance;
  • Ensure the shopping centre is compliant with Legislative obligations, Australian Standards, and Vicinity procedures;
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a relevant field, preferably in a leadership or management role;
  • Strong knowledge of contractor management, health and safety discipline, and legislative requirements;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders;
  • A strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and other business operating systems;
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, with a focus on delivering high-quality results;
  • A willingness to work outside of normal business hours as required.
