Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operations Development Manager to join our team at Vicinity Centres. This is a key role that requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of operational management principles.

About the Role

This position will be responsible for ensuring that development projects are executed in line with the company's standards and procedures. The successful candidate will work closely with various stakeholders, including contractors, emergency services, local council, and internal staff, to ensure that all aspects of the project are managed effectively.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years' experience in a relevant field, preferably in operations or construction management. They will also possess excellent problem-solving skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong commitment to health and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • To manage and coordinate all aspects of development projects, including site visits, inspections, and reporting.
  • To work closely with the Operations Manager – Infrastructure & Integration to ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • To communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including contractors, emergency services, local council, and internal staff.
  • To identify and mitigate risks associated with development projects.
  • To maintain accurate records and documentation related to development projects.
Requirements
  • Degree in a relevant field (e.g., construction management, engineering).
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a relevant field, preferably in operations or construction management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Strong commitment to health and safety.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that may require working outside of normal business hours. Tasks include performing the role of Duty Manager on a rotating roster, checking contractor work & compliance after-hours, and completing audits or assessments.
