As a Regional Development Specialist, you will play a key role in shaping the future of Central Queensland communities. You will be responsible for leading local engagement and strategic communication efforts to ensure community voices are heard and reflected in government policy and program delivery.
Key Responsibilities:- Drive regional engagement and strengthen local partnerships to inform government decision-making.
- Coordinate place-based engagement planning, support regional events and forums, and provide strategic advice and analysis on local development issues, government programs, and emerging opportunities.
- Facilitate Ministerial visits, support Cabinet submissions, and represent the department at community and industry forums.
Requirements:
- Strong strategic communication skills and experience in government or regional development.
- A collaborative mindset and ability to navigate complex issues.
- Comfortable working across a broad range of stakeholders, including local councils, Traditional Owners, business leaders, and senior executives.
