**Job Title:** Behaviour Support Practitioner- Paediatrics

Our Ideal Candidate:
  • Full-time behaviour support practitioner needed to provide positive behaviour support services for children and their families.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including mentoring less experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assessment and Planning: Assist NDIS participants, along with their families and/or carers, to identify their needs through assessment and person-centred planning.
  2. Support Plan Development: Evaluate, develop and deliver evidence-based support plans within a complex support space.
  3. Goal Setting: Develop meaningful goals and practical strategies utilising a positive behaviour support framework, and with a commitment to eliminate restrictive practices, in the home and community.
  4. Plan Implementation: Ensure individual plans reflect our NDIS participants' goals, passions and strengths.
  5. Capacity Building: Build the knowledge, capacity and strengths of those who support participants in their lives - family, carers, friends, etc.
  6. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
