Job Title

We are seeking a skilled Solar Design Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and documenting residential solar systems, providing technical support to our installation team, and collaborating with the sales team to generate panel layouts.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role within the solar industry, SAA design accreditation for grid-connected systems, and proficiency in Microsoft Suite/Office 365, AutoCAD, and PVSyst.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Design and document residential solar systems
    • Provide technical support to the installation team
    • Collaborate with the sales team to generate panel layouts
    • Analyze energy consumption data for existing buildings and design tailored systems
    • Generate comprehensive work orders for installers
    • Deliver high-level customer service
    • Respond promptly to engineering support requests
Requirements
  • Skills and Qualifications:
    • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role within the solar industry
    • SAA design accreditation for grid-connected systems
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite/Office 365, AutoCAD, and PVSyst
    • In-depth knowledge of electrical and structural engineering principles
    • Familiarity with local permitting processes and building codes
    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
    • Exceptional communication skills and ability to thrive in a diverse team environment
