Job Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding role for a skilled Nurse Clinical Specialist to join the Northern Territory Government's Top End Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs Service – Forensic.

About the Role

As a Nurse Clinical Specialist, you will work across various settings, including prisons, hospitals, courts, and communities, to provide assessment, treatment, consultancy services, and written reports for individuals involved in the criminal justice system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply your specialist knowledge, skills, and attributes to provide therapeutic and professional relationships with individuals, families, groups, and communities.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Provide consultancy services and written reports to support court proceedings.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to mental health and forensic services.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

A relevant nursing qualification and registration with the relevant professional body.Experience working in mental health and forensic services.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
