We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at Healthscope's Darwin Private Hospital. As a key member of our perioperative care team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the hospital's mission to provide exceptional healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individual patient care plans.
- Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff in the perioperative department, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance patient safety and satisfaction, ensuring a positive experience for patients and their families.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Selection Criteria:
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Current Working with Children clearance (NT WWC card).
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in anaesthetics/PACU or DSU nursing.
- Postgraduate Certificate in Perioperative, Anaesthetics/PACU or ICU (or working towards).
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality patient care and lead by example.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development, staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices.
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
