Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individual patient care plans.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff in the perioperative department, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance patient safety and satisfaction, ensuring a positive experience for patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Selection Criteria:

  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Current Working with Children clearance (NT WWC card).
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in anaesthetics/PACU or DSU nursing.
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Perioperative, Anaesthetics/PACU or ICU (or working towards).
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality patient care and lead by example.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development, staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices.
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
