
Travel Sector Team Leader

As a team leader in the travel sector, you will be responsible for guiding and motivating your team members. You will assist with staff development through on-the-job coaching and performance improvement plans.
You will work closely with senior management to ensure the smooth operation of the travel agency. This includes managing your own portfolio of new and existing clients, leading by example by providing exceptional service backed with strong product knowledge.
- Direct, motivate and monitor team members, providing feedback and coaching when required.
- Ensure that team members consistently meet allocated sales targets and minimum benchmarks.
- Solve escalated customer concerns to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Create and manage end-to-end travel bookings tailored to each customer's needs.
- Achieve and exceed personal sales targets.
About Your Role
We are looking for a confident and passionate self-motivated individual who enjoys working in a high-performing culture. You should have:
- A Certificate in Travel Tourism or relevant qualification.
- Demonstrated experience in travel consulting in both a consultant and leadership capacity.
- A strong desire to motivate, inspire and lead a team.
- A proven track record of sales achievement in the travel industry.
- In-depth knowledge of travel IT systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a reputation for making things happen.
Certificate in Travel Tourism or equivalent is essential. Additionally, relevant qualifications in areas such as sales, leadership and communication would be beneficial.
ExperienceAt least 2 years of experience in travel consulting and/or leadership roles within the travel industry. Proven track record of success in meeting and exceeding sales targets is mandatory.
SkillsLeadership skills are essential to guide and motivate a high-performing team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to make things happen is also necessary.
