Job Title: Corporate Financial Accounting Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled finance leader to join our team. As the Manager, Corporate Financial Accounting, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.

You will lead a supportive and high-performing team, providing expert financial advice while maintaining compliance and driving best practices.

\

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee financial records, reconciliations, and compliance with taxation obligations (PAYG, GST, FBT).\
  • Develop and implement accounting policies to enhance governance and reporting.\
  • Provide expert financial advice to improve systems, efficiency, and decision-making.\
  • Lead and develop a high-performing finance team in a positive, inclusive environment.\

Requirements:

  • Proven public sector experience in a similar financial management role.\
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.\
  • Expertise in financial governance, reporting, and continuous improvement.\
  • Team leadership with a customer-focused approach.\

Your Team and Network:

Work closely with Finance and Funding Division staff.

\

Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organisation.

\

Engage with external partners, including the Auditor-General's Department and the Department of Treasury and Finance.

\

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in accounting, business, or commerce.\
  • Desirable: Membership or progress towards a professional accounting body qualification.\
\
