Description:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Hospitality Professional to lead our front office team in delivering exceptional guest experiences. As the first point of contact for guests, you will be responsible for ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere, responding to complaints, and soliciting feedback to improve guest satisfaction.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Senior Hospitality Professional. You will be responsible for assisting the Front Office Manager in ensuring departmental readiness for opening, leading and developing a team of committed hospitality professionals, and delivering exceptional guest experiences by setting high standards and finding new ways to exceed them.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Front Office Manager in preparing the front desk and related areas for opening
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of dedicated hospitality professionals to achieve excellence in guest service
  • Deliver exceptional guest experiences by setting high standards and continually looking for ways to improve and exceed expectations
  • Ensure that all front office team members deliver great service, provide professional attention, and offer personal recognition to every guest
  • Greet guests upon arrival, engage with them, respond to complaints, solicit feedback, and build relationships to improve guest satisfaction
  • Be the first point of contact for critical emergency situations and have authentic conversations with guests to resolve issues, queries, or concerns

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a front desk/guest service leadership role
  • Basic mathematical skills and ability to accurately manage cash handling transactions
  • Fluent English language skills, both spoken and written; additional languages are an asset
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, reasoning, and motivational skills to lead and motivate a team
  • The ability to stand for long periods at the front desk and occasionally lift heavy items
  • Working knowledge of hotel property management systems, such as Opera
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
  • Full unrestricted working rights in Australia
