Occupational Therapist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will work autonomously with clients in their own homes, providing assessments and interventions through home care packages and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

The role involves delivering services to clients in the community, working closely with clinical leads and team leaders. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting home-based occupational therapy assessments and interventions.
  • Arranging appropriate home modifications and equipment.
  • Developing therapy programs to improve clients' daily routines, independence, and skills.
  • Working collaboratively with other professionals to provide support for clients and refer them to relevant services as needed.
  • Reviewing therapy programs to track client progress and achievements.
  • Working independently to prioritize tasks, maintain records, and produce patient reports.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A relevant degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • A police check clearance.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
