About the Role
The Process Excellence Leader is a strategic and technical leadership role designed to support business growth through process improvement. This role goes beyond traditional process engineering, requiring a strong team player who can lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer site performance.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in driving lean transformation efforts and championing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and implement data-driven solutions to improve customer site performance and internal processes.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation, mentoring engineers and promoting knowledge sharing.
- Represent the team in customer meetings and presentations, translating technical insights into actionable strategies.
- Collaborate with service teams to embed lean principles and support the transformation journey.
- Communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation, ensuring transparency and alignment on performance and improvement actions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
This role requires a unique blend of skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or a related field.
- Demonstrated success in driving continuous improvement and leading lean transformation initiatives.
- Strong problem-solving skills with formal training in Lean Six Sigma or equivalent methodologies.
- Technical knowledge of mechanical and control systems, particularly in relation to automated systems.
- Proven experience in a leadership or second-in-command role, with a track record of strategic thinking and team development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders.
- Proficiency in data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) to support decision-making.
- Experience in managing projects from concept through to completion; familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
- Customer-facing experience with the ability to translate customer needs into engineering solutions.
- Commitment to professional development and staying current with industry trends and technologies.

- Encourage and support worker participation in health and safety initiatives and maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Attend health and safety meetings and training; demonstrate commitment to health and safety through personal behaviour and leadership.
- Use PPE as required.
