Rehabilitation Consultant Job Description

This role is designed for individuals who want to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others. As a Rehabilitation Consultant, you will work with clients to help them overcome injuries and get back to their daily activities.

About the Role
  • You will utilise your specialist knowledge and skills to assist people in returning to occupational engagement
  • Evaluate treatment and/or rehabilitation needs of workers who have been involved in an injury or illness
  • Help clients identify future employment or training options by reviewing their transferable skills, qualifications and interests

Your day-to-day tasks will involve performing assessments depending on your area of clinical expertise. This could include functional capacity evaluations, worksite, ergonomic or activities of daily living assessments.

Effective case management involves planning, coordinating and monitoring client progress toward their return to work goal.

You will engage with key stakeholders and build strong relationships to facilitate the achievement of business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  1. To evaluate treatment and/or rehabilitation needs of workers who have been involved in a work-related or non-work-related injury or illness

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy or related field
  • Current registration with relevant professional body
  • Proven experience working with injured workers
