Medication Safety Leader

This role encompasses leading the implementation of medication safety protocols within a hospital setting, fostering collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams and promoting meaningful consumer engagement.
About the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced pharmacist to join our dynamic team. In this capacity, you will champion evidence-based safe medication practices across the hospital, spearhead initiatives such as Medication Safety Audits, oversee the Safe Use of Medicines Committee, and contribute to incident reviews and policy development.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with pharmacy, nursing, medical staff, Patient Safety Managers, and consumers to promote safe medication practices.
- Spearhead initiatives such as Medication Safety Audits, Medication Reconciliation Programs, and Formulary Management.
- Oversee the Safe Use of Medicines Committee and ensure adherence to relevant standards and regulations.
- Contribute to incident reviews and policy development to drive quality improvement and support compliance with regulatory standards.
- A degree in Pharmacy or related field and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Proven experience in clinical leadership and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Strong knowledge of medication safety principles and best practices.
