As a skilled professional, you will be responsible for the execution of weekly work schedules and approved breaks in work. Your main job responsibilities will include general maintenance tasks on surface and underground equipment, including fixed infrastructure and mobile equipment.

Main tasks also include executing maintenance activities in accordance with relevant HSE standards, assisting in developing and enhancing task lists, work procedures, and instructions. You will identify and implement maintenance execution improvement initiatives, demonstrate commitment to customer service both internal and external to the business, and pursue operating perfection in work practices and approach.

You will report events, work requirements, and hazards in a timely and accurate manner. Additionally, you will update events and work requests with an accurate scope of work, supporting effective planning of work.

The successful candidate must have a certification 3 or 4 in Electronics and Communications TAFE or similar. They must also have completed a full apprenticeship and post-apprenticeship work. Other essential skills include understanding of IP networks and background with networking and switches, as well as understanding of task risk management and assessment, maintenance principles, and practices.

A full driver's license is required, along with the ability to drive manual vehicles. The ideal candidate should also have a background in either underground analogue or digital radio systems. Basic understanding of communications systems outside of radio communications is also beneficial.

Strong technical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues are necessary. The ability to work effectively in a team is also crucial. The role requires comfort working underground during night shifts. Leaky feeder management, installation, maintenance, and repair are also essential skills.
