The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance supervision, with experience in managing safe and cost-effective maintenance activities on projects.

  • Lead from the front by driving a culture of safety and vision to lead the industry through safety initiatives.
  • Manage resources effectively to ensure maintenance schedules are met, driving operational efficiencies and providing leadership and supervision through presence, guidance, and feedback to teams and individuals.
  • Inspire and encourage team achievement, conducting employee performance appraisals and developing corrective and growth plans as needed.
  • Resolve problems and conflicts within the crew, performing hands-on servicing, repair, and maintenance of mobile plant equipment, including fault finding and diagnostics to prevent breakdowns and downtime.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Heavy Diesel Fitter Trade qualification
  • Current driver's license
  • Experience in supervisory or management roles
  • Experience maintaining Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi mobile equipment
  • Experience with Kenworth and Mack Trucks and ancillary gear
  • Industry experience in civil/mining sectors with a solid understanding of mobile plant and crushing operations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and maintenance systems
  • Effective planning, time management, and prioritization skills
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with employees, clients, suppliers, and sub-contractors
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude
  • Willingness to work in remote locations
  • Hands-on approach

About this role:

This site-based position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager and Project Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of maintenance personnel, ensuring that all maintenance activities are carried out safely and efficiently.
