Maintenance Operations Executive

Job Summary:

  • Lead the maintenance function at a complex site to improve plant reliability and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement standardised preventative, corrective, and condition-based maintenance systems for site to ensure agreed levels of plant availability.
  • Ensure all capital expenditure projects satisfy the maintenance function and interface with external contractor requirements.
  • Develop effective cost control measures for maintenance and assist in budget preparation.
  • Assist and manage the operational implementation of Quality Management systems, Food Safety systems, and Occupational Health and Safety systems.
  • Ensure that all maintenance procedures are followed, consistent with ISO 9002 and HACCP standards.
  • Provide leadership and motivation to maintenance employees to meet company objectives.
  • Allocate staff to perform duties in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Manage maintenance training needs according to designed plans.
  • Assess site manning needs and prepare regular reports on maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

  • Engineering or Industrial Trade qualification.
  • 10+ years' industrial site maintenance experience.
  • Minimum 5-10 years' experience in maintenance management/supervision.
  • Minimum 5-10 years' experience in a Food Manufacturing environment, with flour milling advantageous.

Technical Skills:

  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skill level.
  • SAP experience.
  • Able to negotiate with suppliers.
  • Must be able to lead maintenance staff and control maintenance activities.
  • Able to manage small projects and oversee contractor activities.
