Strategic Operations Leader

The NSW Rural Fire Service Benevolent Fund is a public benevolent institution providing practical assistance to RFS members and their families in times of need.
About the Role:This is a unique opportunity to stand up systems and processes, working closely with key stakeholders to ensure success.
- Internal stakeholders include the Chair and Board, RFS members, and the RFS Chaplaincy Service.
- External relationships are with the Office of the RFS Commissioner, government departments, emergency services agencies, sponsors, auditors, suppliers, and various external committees.
You will be responsible for
- Establishing business improvement initiatives and systems development;
- Leveraging leadership, communication, and stakeholder skills to build high-performing teams;
- Fostering deep understanding of not-for-profit operations, governance, compliance, and fundraising;
- Supporting volunteer-based community services;
- Maintaining required probity checks and holding a current Driver's Licence.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- Tertiary qualification in a business-related discipline;
- Proven experience as a COO or equivalent senior leader;
- High-level leadership and communication skills;
- Understanding of not-for-profit operations and governance;
- Ability to travel.
