Clinical Specialist in Child and Adolescent Mental Health

About the Role:
The Mental Health Clinician will be part of a multidisciplinary team within the Early in Life Mental Health Service.
Responsibilities include navigating internal processes, supporting patients with ongoing psychiatric needs, conducting comprehensive assessments and treatment planning for young people aged 0-17.
Effective partnerships with various teams, including CATT/ECATT teams, schools and healthcare services, are required.
Participating in patient flow and prioritization of referrals is also a key responsibility.
About ELMHS:
Early in Life Mental Health Services provides assessment and treatment for infants, children, adolescents and young people and their families.
A range of treatment options are available, including inpatient treatment, community treatment, group programs, family therapy and specialist services.
Key Features:
- Work in a multidisciplinary team led by consultant psychiatrists.
- Develop fundamental and advanced clinical skills rapidly.
- Participate in rotating roster for phone access and triaging incoming referrals.
Requirements:
Applicants must have a strong understanding of child mental health and development, as well as experience in working with complex and acute presentations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
