The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and motivated sales professional to join our team in the position of Customer Support Representative for our Newcastle and North Coast region.

This role offers a unique opportunity to sell market-leading products and services across the Hitachi range, leveraging a mix of business development and account management to drive sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure Hitachi's high level of service delivery is consistently met.
  2. Promote and generate parts and service sales streams to increase revenue.
  3. Conduct customer machine inspections with attention to detail to identify opportunities for growth.
  4. Develop and present sales pitches to new prospects, highlighting the value of Hitachi products and services.
  5. Liaise with current and potential customers to report on activity, sales, opportunities, and market trends.
  6. Present a professional image and possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  1. Demonstrated experience in service sales or parts interpretation within the mining, construction, or earthmoving industry.
  2. A genuine desire to deliver Hitachi's Promise of Total Customer Satisfaction through positive relationships with customers.
  3. A motivated and ambitious commitment to meet and exceed sales targets.
  4. Strategic and analytical capabilities to assess value, including the use of CRM.
  5. Confident, courteous, and professional communication and presentation skills.
  6. Self-motivation and the ability to work autonomously, with a current driver's license.
