The Opportunity


Pirtek North Sydney is seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Manager to lead their Service and Supply Centre. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for planning and directing operations to achieve sales budget, on-time delivery, and profit targets.


The Role


As Operations Manager, you will be expected to:



  • Monitor and direct daily operations of the Hose Service Centre
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to staff and customers
  • Implement, monitor, and review training and development plans
  • Act to improve the safety performance of all staff
  • Assist with counter service and report to the Centre Manager

Requirements


To be considered for this position, you will ideally have:



  • OHS and environmental knowledge
  • Trade certificate and occupational regulatory licenses
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities
  • Experience in team leadership and people management
  • Ability to delegate tasks and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of management systems, including QA and WHS
  • Ability to operate machinery and be familiar with industry equipment
  • Computer literacy and good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Well-presented and groomed
  • Working understanding of procurement and stock management systems
  • Able to meet, greet, and talk with customers and potential clients
