About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Geotechnical Technician to join our Carrapateena team. As a key member of our Site Operations Centre, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our control centres and leading a team of technicians to deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Site Operations Centre team to achieve company goals and objectives.
- Ensure the effective operation of control centres and alarm management systems.
- Capture and raise issues and improvement opportunities for control systems and alarm management.
- Manage the Site Operations Centre operating budget and provide financial guidance to the team.
- Provide visible safety leadership and conduct regular audits, inspections, and assessments across multiple departments.
- Collaborate with site departments and project teams to define scope of works around operational readiness requirements.
- Develop and implement new processes, training standards, and procedures for the Site Operations Centre.
- Coordinate the development of reporting tools to support business improvement.
- Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in leading a team and managing projects.
- Strong knowledge of control room systems and programs.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
