This role offers a chance to have a positive impact on the lives of First Nations families and communities. As a Community Coordinator, you will build strong relationships with these families, ensuring their voices and preferences are at the forefront.
You will observe children in their natural environment to assess functioning and support needs, and work with families to establish meaningful goals and aspirations. You will also provide connections to mainstream services to improve children's access to necessary supports and social participation.
About the Role- Establish strong, respectful relationships with First Nations families and ensure their voices and preferences are prioritized.
- Observe children in their natural environment to assess functioning and support needs.
- Support First Nations families to establish meaningful goals and aspirations, and track progression toward goals.
- Provide connections to mainstream services to improve children's access to necessary supports and social participation.
- Aboriginality confirmed by a common seal and a reference from an Aboriginal organization or community group.
- Tertiary qualification in Early Childhood or Allied Health (desirable).
- Understanding of child protection principles and Keep Them Safe.
- Valid Driver's Licence (P1 minimum).
- WWCC & NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Full Australian working rights.
