Job Opportunity: Territory Development Manager

The ideal candidate for this role will possess a strong background in sales and customer service, with experience working within the paint and coatings industry. They will be responsible for driving revenue growth for our Albury/Wodonga territory by effectively communicating with key stakeholders, identifying new business opportunities, and implementing strategies to expand our market presence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Achieve monthly and yearly sales targets through effective planning and execution of sales strategies.
  • Oversee and manage debtors/accounts receivable in accordance with our company's accounts policy.
  • Recognize and capitalize on opportunities to promote our refinish and Industrial paint products to customers, highlighting their advantages over competitive brands.
  • Support distributor sales activities and ensure accurate recommendation and application of our products while adhering to proper EH&S procedures.
  • Foster strong relationships with PPG personnel and Distribution Network to drive business growth.
  • Monitor and assess growth of current customers and distributors, identifying opportunities to enhance share of wallet.
  • Implement pricing initiatives/policies to provide necessary profit contribution.
  • Establish and maintain strong connections with key customers and industry groups to stay informed about market trends and competitor activity.
  • Identify and execute plans to expand our presence in underrepresented segments and geographies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Sales experience is preferred but not mandatory; however, a strong emphasis on customer service is required.
  • Proficiency in technical knowledge of refinish & Industrial paint products and application techniques is desirable.
  • Prior experience with competitor products can be advantageous.
  • A trade qualification in spray painting and refinish industry is desirable, as well as negotiation and presentation skills.
