Job Description

This is a pivotal role within our Regular Giving Team, central to strengthening relationships between supporters and children they sponsor. Reporting directly to the Regular Giving Team Lead, you will deliver key communications that elevate the Child Sponsorship experience and enhance donor retention.

A core focus lies in overseeing the end-to-end process of Child Sponsorship Letter Writing, facilitating heartfelt exchanges between Sponsors and the children they support. Additionally, you will lead the coordination and delivery of Annual Progress Reports, providing Sponsors with tangible updates on the growth and development of the children and communities they support.

Further responsibilities include coordinating special projects that amplify the supporter experience and contribute to innovation within the Regular Giving space. These projects may vary throughout the year, offering opportunities for collaboration across teams, the implementation of fresh ideas, and making a meaningful impact beyond day-to-day operations.

As we seek someone who excels at detail, enjoys managing processes, and is driven by purpose-driven work, you will coordinate a small group of dedicated volunteers and collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, including passionate Partner Staff overseas to ensure timely, accurate, and engaging communications are delivered throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of the end-to-end process of Child Sponsorship Letter Writing
  • Leadership of the coordination and delivery of Annual Progress Reports
  • Coordination of special projects enhancing the supporter experience
  • Collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders
Required Skills and Qualifications

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an administration role
  • Experience working with databases or CRM systems
  • Demonstrated skills in attention to detail, accuracy, and quality
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-directed, organized, take initiative, and work to deadlines in a professional and confident manner
  • Proven ability to maintain good stakeholder relationships
  • A learning mindset with a commitment to bringing best-practice in fundraising
  • A passion for making donors' experiences supporting Baptist World Aid the best it can be

Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Some experience working in fundraising and/or retention marketing roles
  • Experience working in a not-for-profit environment
  • Technical aptitude and a proven interest in improving processes and systems
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and motivate volunteers
  • Understanding of Christian principles in development
