Product Design Manager Job Description

This is a senior leadership role for a Product Design Manager who will lead a team of designers to develop their skills and drive innovative product design solutions.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years of experience in a lead-level experience/product design role, with expertise in Figma and knowledge of contemporary online patterns, interaction paradigms, and core online experiences.

We seek a highly skilled and experienced Product Design Manager who can provide vision, design direction, and operational oversight of design activities to support coherent product design across platforms.

The ideal candidate will be able to maintain a deep understanding of Brand policy and digital guidelines, ensuring alignment and adherence across digital delivery.

They will also be able to implement centralized tools, standards/guidelines, accelerators/templates, and working practices to increase efficiency, effectiveness, and impact of Product Designers across the organization.

The Product Design Manager will be responsible for people management, supporting the growth and development of direct reports.

They will produce strategic design deliverables and provide advisory services in support of key market unit digital enablers and strategic business initiatives.

• A strong portfolio of digital design work with a focus on website design (demonstrating knowledge of web technologies, typical online patterns, interaction paradigms, and core online experiences)">
• Practical familiarity with digital design principles and standards, with clear judgment/rationale for design direction">
• A tertiary qualification in relevant digital or technical disciplines or equivalent work experience">
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to articulate and formally present creative concepts and rationale to other team members and business stakeholders">
