We are seeking a highly skilled Business Performance and Insights Director to join our team at Commonwealth Bank. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for defining how we use data to measure performance, discover opportunities, and make business decisions.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Partner to the Executive Leadership Team
- Provide strategic guidance on data-driven decision-making and business performance measurement.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely insights.
- Communicate complex analytical concepts and recommend compelling solutions to business leaders.
- Coach and mentor business stakeholders on how to maximize the value of our insights suite and data.
- Conceptualize and plan for delivery of a comprehensive set of reports, dashboards, and scorecards that effectively communicate key metrics and insights addressing business goals and performance.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest innovations in Business Intelligence reporting and continuously improve on how we leverage data to produce insights.
- Collaborate with our data engineering team to identify and deliver self-service options for insights and reporting.
- Craft the insights development roadmap, prioritize, and pivot based on the ever-changing needs of the business.
- Coach and mentor your team of business insights analysts on producing business-focused designs and specifications for meaningful insights and on delivering them efficiently.
- Manage blockers, dependencies, capacity constraints, and routine challenges that come with delivering business value at pace.
- Manage stakeholder expectations based on a strong understanding of delivery effort and challenges.
- Continuously monitor and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the reporting suite.
- Experience applying strong business acumen, strategic, and problem-solving skills to data and insights.
- Experience leading and coaching teams – helping the team set and deliver on clear priorities.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate complex analytical concepts and recommend compelling solutions.
- Ability to form trusted relationships with leaders, being seen as a partner of choice on key strategic and business decisions.
- Advanced Excel and Power BI (including DAX) capabilities essential.
- Understanding of and experience in SQL.
- Experience with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager is desirable.
- Experience in and knowledge of the banking/lending business is desirable.
