Due to significant growth and ongoing delivery success with our clients across Australia, we are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager to undertake pre- and post-contract client-facing duties for our Real Estate, Defence, and Infrastructure projects. This role will involve working on projects in Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, and Perth.
The successful candidate will have experience in MEP cost planning, estimating for major utilities, building services, cost reporting, procurement, contract and commercial management. Key skills and experience required include:
- Commission management experience
- Pre-contract cost management experience
- Post-contract cost management experience
- Tender analysis experience
- Procurement and contract advisory experience
- Commercial reporting experience
- Variation assessment experience
- Team training and best practice
- Lead and manage complex projects and programs as the key client interface
- Developing working relationships, problem-solving, and driving projects to successful completion
- Managing the design process to achieve the client's requirements and manage expectations
- Reviewing project plans and specifications, scheduling, costs-saving measures, discrepancies, potential construction problems, etc.
- Managing project safety and environmental requirements
- Managing project timelines, risks, and reporting
- Managing project budgets and advising on options to keep budget on track
- Chairing project/site meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors
- Engagement with marketing and business development initiatives
Qualifications: RICS, AIQS with Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or MEP Engineering degree.
