We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join our team in Hobart.

Role Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced accountant to take on a senior role within our finance team. As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality financial services to our clients, including management accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll processing.

About the Role:

  • Manage multiple client relationships, ensuring timely delivery of financial services and excellent customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of complex financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Perform end-to-end AP processes, including invoice processing, vendor payments, remittance advices, and vendor queries.
  • Prepare and lodge periodic superannuation and payroll tax reporting and payments.
  • Conduct regular bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Prioritize tasks, manage competing deadlines, and maintain a consistent level of professionalism.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes as needed.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • At least 4 years' experience in a similar role, preferably with a professional accounting firm.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Familiarity with Xero, MYOB, or other cloud-based accounting software would be an advantage.
