Job Overview:

The role of Neonatal Nurse Specialist involves delivering high-quality care to critically ill newborns, requiring in-depth knowledge and expertise in neonatal intensive care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive patient care to neonates, encompassing respiratory, cardiovascular, and gastrointestinal management
  • Administer medications accurately using automated systems

  • Perform specialized procedures such as arterial line management and central line care
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field
  • Current RN licensure in the jurisdiction
  • Experience working in NICU Level III and IV environments
  • Competency in interpreting and managing cardiovascular dysrhythmias
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • Skills in gastrointestinal feeding methods and infection control measures
