Intensive Youth Care Specialist

This is a unique chance to be part of a pioneering team in Queensland delivering a new practice model.
The program will provide an intensive 24/7 care environment and specialist care for a young person with complex support needs.
About the RoleThe role involves assisting the intensive support team in implementing behavioural support and case plans aimed at stabilizing and building capacity of the child.
This includes providing trauma-informed and neuro-divergent affirming care, actively contributing to program design, and working collaboratively with the Intensive Support Team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide trauma-informed and neuro-divergent affirming care to children placed in the program.
- Actively contribute to the design and implementation of programs for children.
- Work collaboratively with the Intensive Support Team to ensure goals are worked towards.
- Demonstrated experience of successfully working with children demonstrating complex behaviours.
- Strong written communication skills including case noting and contributing information for reporting requirements.
- Able to complete shifts over a 24/7 roster, including active overnight and sleepover shifts.
