About the Opportunity


As the Associate Director, you will provide visionary leadership for the day-to-day management of the Transitional Orthopaedic Unit (TOI) at Macquarie University Hospital. You will collaborate with the executive team and the Operations Committee to develop and deliver a strategic operating plan for the TOI, aligning with the company's vision, values, strategic plan, and policies.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for the TOI, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
• Lead a high-performing team to deliver safe, high-quality, and efficient patient care, alongside an exceptional experience for patients and doctors.
• Collaborate with the MUH executive team and the Operations Committee to ensure the effective implementation of the company's corporate and clinical governance framework and processes.
• Support the development of further short-stay orthopaedic services, working closely with doctors and the Revenue and Health Fund Relations team.
• Provide regular performance reports to various internal and external stakeholders, including financial, quality, and safety metrics, staff performance, and risk assessments.

Requirements:
• A Registered Nurse (AHPRA registered) with considerable clinical leadership experience gained within a private hospital or day surgery centre, with experience in recovery and/or perioperative rooms, as well as ward experience.
• Proven track record in leading, managing, and developing teams, with a strong analytical skillset to interpret and present complex data and information via reports and dashboards to a varied audience.
• Previous experience with complex projects in a healthcare environment, with a rounded commercial, operations, and stakeholder management skillset, enabling engagement with stakeholders at all levels.

This is a permanent full-time position based onsite at Macquarie University Hospital, offering a unique opportunity to lead a high-performing team and contribute to the company's mission to deliver exceptional healthcare services.
