Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Take full accountability for delivering an accurate month-end close within agreed deadlines, prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analysis, monitor and analyze financial performance, and provide insights and recommendations to drive business decisions.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist the FP&A business partner in the development of annual budgets and forecasts, monitor budget performance, variances, and implement corrective actions as needed, and provide financial projections and scenario analyses to support strategic planning.
  • Compliance Management: Oversee compliance with tax regulations, manage relationships with external tax advisers, ensure adherence to debt covenants, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in tax laws, payroll regulations, and other relevant legislation.
  • Financial Operations: Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management functions, manage cash flow, including forecasting and optimizing working capital, and implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets.
  • Strategic Support: Collaborate with executive management to develop and execute financial strategies, support business growth initiatives through financial modeling and analysis, and provide financial decision support for major investments and operational changes.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment, set clear performance objectives, and conduct regular reviews.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks, ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, and implement risk management strategies and monitor their effectiveness.
  • ERP Management and Implementation Support: Manage the ongoing operation of ERP systems, ensure accurate financial data processing and reporting, and support the implementation of new ERP systems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Finance Controller or similar role in a medium/large organization.
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, reporting standards, tax regulations, and payroll compliance.
  • Experience with financial management software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and a willingness to respectfully challenge the status quo.
