Orthopaedic Surgery Expert

We are seeking an experienced professional to support orthopaedic surgeons in the planning and execution of robotic-assisted hip and knee replacements.

This is a unique opportunity to advance orthopaedic surgery through the application of cutting-edge robotic technology.

About The Role

The Robotic Product Specialist will play a critical role in supporting surgical teams in the theatre, providing real-time technical and clinical guidance during procedures.

The primary expert for the Mako system, working closely with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the in-theatre expert for Mako-assisted procedures, providing technical and clinical guidance to surgeons and theatre staff.
  • Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal use of the Mako robotic platform during joint replacement surgeries.
  • Conduct pre-operative CT-based planning and segmentation to assist in surgical case preparation.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge in orthopaedic surgical techniques, anatomy, and robotic technology.
  • Provide ongoing training and clinical support to hospital staff and surgical teams.
  • Travel across multiple hospital sites.
Requirements

This role is ideal for someone with a strong clinical background and a passion for surgical innovation.

Candidates may come from fields such as:

  • Orthopaedic clinical support
  • Biomedical science/engineering
  • Medical device experience
  • Operating theatre nursing/registered nursing experience
  • Physiotherapy or allied health with surgical exposure
