About the Role

The Governance & Policy Manager will lead work on strategy, planning and risk management, and provide advice to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on critical issues, opportunities, and risks to improve the effective and efficient functioning of Anyinginyi Health.

Leading a small team that ensures all policies, governance and board secretariat tasks are up to date and compliant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategy & Leadership: Provide leadership and strategic advice on Corporate Governance to ensure provision of quality, safe and cost-effective services consistent with legislation, standards, and community expectations.
  • Operational: Perform the duties of the Public Officer of Anyinginyi Health Aboriginal Corporation, ensuring all reporting to the various statutory bodies is made within the required schedules.
  • Research: Support to Finance Audit and Risk Committee providing a risk perspective.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following:

  • Knowledge of strategic and business planning in relation to the delivery of successful outcomes within a complex service environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in reviewing and developing policy to support business processes and systems, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, with strong conceptual and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of audit and risk management, understanding of governance structures and processes, and understanding of finance and procurement practices and regulations in a public sector environment or similar.
