About the Role

This is a key leadership position within Anyinginyi Health Aboriginal Corporation, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). As the Governance & Policy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the organization's strategic direction and ensuring the effective governance of its operations.



Key Responsibilities


  • Strategy & Leadership: Provide strategic advice to the CEO on corporate governance, risk management, and policy development to ensure the provision of high-quality, safe, and cost-effective services consistent with legislation, standards, and community expectations.
  • Operational: Perform the duties of the Public Officer, ensuring all reporting to statutory bodies is made within required schedules. Develop, implement, communicate, and maintain governance, risk, information, and compliance frameworks.
  • Research: Support the Finance Audit and Risk Committee with a risk perspective, oversee research activities, track projects, and respond to requests from researchers.


About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:




  • Essential Skills & Experience: Knowledge of strategic and business planning, experience in reviewing and developing policy, and understanding of audit and risk management.
  • Desirable: Tertiary qualifications in Governance, Risk, or related discipline, and experience in an Aboriginal community-controlled primary health care environment.
