Vegetation Management Lead

AusNet Services Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Vegetation Management Lead to join our Asset Management Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our vegetation management and bushfire mitigation efforts.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive vegetation management strategy to ensure compliance with regulations and effective bushfire mitigation programs.
- Oversee the governance of the Works Program, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery, while monitoring regulatory changes and conducting quality assurance to maintain consistency in asset management practices.
- Collaborate with Network Operations to ensure work programs are delivered on time and in budget, while supporting the Network Safety team's regulatory activities.
- Update risk assessments and documents, and assist with EDPR and TRR submissions.
- Mentor and support junior engineers to drive results and solve complex problems.
- Proven technical expertise in arboriculture.
- Knowledge of electrical Distribution and/or Transmission systems.
- Operational exposure to OH&S policies, procedures, and systems.
- Utility, energy, and/or asset management experience is highly desirable.
- Understanding of technical and economic regulations governing electrical networks.
- Ability to think strategically, solve complex problems, and drive results.
