We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Workplace Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team at Kinnect. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality workplace rehabilitation services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver workplace rehabilitation services that promote optimal health and well-being for injured workers.
- Assess injured workers to determine the best strategies for facilitating their return to work.
- Visit workplaces to understand the challenges injured workers may face and educate employers on injury prevention.
- Provide clinical opinions and justifications through detailed report writing.
- Case manage complex injuries and coordinate with treating doctors and health professionals to support injured workers in their recovery and return to work.
- Conduct pre-employment assessments, including drug & alcohol testing, audiology, spirometry, vision, and functional testing.
- Develop job dictionaries.
- Perform manual task risk assessments.
- Lead interactive manual handling training and implement stretching and warm-up programs.
- Conduct ergonomic assessments in workplace, home, and vehicle settings.
- Professional accreditation in occupational therapy, physical therapy, or rehabilitation counselling, with the ability to obtain registration with AHPRA, ESSA, ASORC, or RCAA.
- Experience working within ACC (NZ accident compensation scheme) is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report writing skills.
- Ability to thrive under pressure in a dynamic team environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients from diverse backgrounds.
