We have multiple homes and thousands of residents and employees across Victoria, New South Wales, and Tasmania. Respect also offers home care services in various states and has over 700 units in retirement villages and independent living communities.
The Role
The Executive Culinary Specialist will operate under the guidance of the Chef Supervisor, responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving nourishing meals for residents. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and presenting excellent-standard food and drink, ensuring all meals are well-accepted by residents.
- Providing special dietary requirements for individual residents, as specified by the dietician, speech therapist, or clinical care team.
- Reporting stock items required to the Chef Supervisor for ordering.
- Documenting, communicating, implementing, delivering, and monitoring the Food Safety Program (FSP) in partnership with the Chef Supervisor.
- Supporting catering staff to maintain a clean and non-cluttered work environment and promoting safe work practices.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential criteria:
- Hold a certificate relevant to the role (e.g., Certificate III Hospitality – Commercial Cookery).
- Possess a current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire).
Desirable qualifications include experience in residential aged care and hospitality.
Salary Information
The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $65,000 - $85,000 AUD, depending on experience and qualifications.
