Geologist for Coal Quality Improvement

Our ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of coal quality and beneficiation, with experience in open cut coal mining geology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of daily coal mining, stockpiling, and feed plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Conduct routine pit and stockpile inspections to provide guidance and feedback to planning and production teams.
  • Improve reconciliation processes and assist in conventional mine geology processes of data collection and interpretation.
  • Undertake projects and investigations to identify improvement initiatives and deliver outcomes.
Requirements
  • Degree in Geology or Mining Engineering, or relevant experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work well with people from all backgrounds, and experience working closely with production teams.
  • Ability to turn data into clear advice and confidence with numbers, writing, and geological software/tools.
