Senior Occupational Therapist

We are seeking an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team at Flinders Medical Centre.
About the Role:
This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of clinical expertise and leadership skills. As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for providing specialist occupational therapy assessment and intervention to patients with complex needs. You will also be required to lead effective discharge planning and provide professional guidance to junior staff members.
Duties:
- Providing and promoting specialist occupational therapy assessments and interventions, including the prescription and provision of assistive technology
- Leading complex discharge planning for patients with disability
- Accepting professional responsibility for a high standard of work, including providing advice on service development and redesign in response to patient needs
- Applying professional expertise in the provision of clinical consultancy services across SA Health
- Contributing to the development of an integrated multidisciplinary team approach for patients with disability
About You:
- Registration as an Occupational Therapist by the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (OTBA)
- Clinical leadership skills, including the ability to initiate and lead change that results in improved outcomes and facilitates continuous quality improvement
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to communicate with patients, carers, staff, and other stakeholders
- Extensive postgraduate clinical experience at a senior level
- Experience working with adults with physical, intellectual, and/or psychosocial disabilities requiring NDIS assessment, intervention, and coordination

Estimated Salary Range: $104,180 - $111,746 per annum (pro rata)
