About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Speech Pathologist to join our growing team in West Melbourne. As a Children's Communication Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality speech pathology services to children with communication disorders.
The successful applicant will require experience working with children between 0 to 14 years old and possess excellent assessment, planning, and intervention skills. You will work closely with parents, carers, educators, and health professionals to develop tailored therapy plans and provide home practice activities to strengthen progress made in therapy.
This role is ideal for a motivated and enthusiastic Speechie who is passionate about supporting participants to achieve their goals and experience quality of life. If you have a growth mindset and are committed to delivering exceptional patient care, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct standardized speech pathology assessments and complete reports concisely documenting client strengths and challenges
- Develop tailored therapy plans underpinned by strong clinical reasoning to meet client goals
- Liaise with parents, carers, educators, and health professionals involved in the care of each client
- Complete up-to-date client case notes using an online system
- Demonstrate exceptional communication skills, written and verbal, with clients, team members, and health professional alliances
- A recognized degree in Speech Pathology
- Current registration with Speech Pathology Australia
- Experience in providing speech pathology services to children with communication disorders (desirable)
- Ability to accurately assess, plan, and monitor intervention in the area of communication disorders
- Experience working with NDIS Participants
We offer a competitive salary package, including $110,000 - $140,000 per annum plus superannuation benefits. Additionally, we provide sponsorship or permanent residency for onshore applicants.
